The CareEvolve customers range from small hospitals with 25 providers to large regional reference labs with more than 4500 providers.
CareEvolve is a scalable product that can grow with your outreach program. The unique pricing model allows customers to pay for only the number of providers using the system. The monthly fees include support and upgrades, so there isn’t any hidden cost.
The three case studies below demonstrate how laboratories have used CareEvolve as part of their Outreach Program’s business strategy. The results are very impressive!
Alverno is a full service, community based, medical laboratory servicing 28 hospitals and a large outreach business. They are a joint venture of the Sisters of St. Francis Health Services of IN., Resurrection Health Care of Chicago, IL and Provena Health of IL. This makes Alverno one of the largest cooperative of hospitals functioning with an integrated delivery system in their Midwest region.
LabCare was started in 1986 when Barberton Hospital, a 311 bed general acute care community hospital, was searching for ways to increase revenues. The lab was modern, recently renovated, well equipped and had excess testing capacity. Outreach now comprises eighty-five percent of the laboratory’s testing volume. The additional volume from outreach allows for more competitive vendor pricing, access to new technology, and a wider breadth of testing due to the increased volume and subsequently lower cost per test.
White Plains Hospital Center is a 292 bed, not-for-profit, hospital. In 2005 they had a small outreach program and an existing web portal that was replaced with CareEvolve. From 2006, outreach has increased from 27% to 56% of the lab’s total volume and returns $1.50 for every $1.00 invested. The success of the Outreach program has given the lab credibility with hospital administration which allows them to fund new programs.
