Marc D. Grodman, Chairman of Board Marc Grodman, M.D. is the Chief Executive Officer of BioReference Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ: BRLI) He has been the CEO since the Company's inception and has led it through public offering, transformation from a medical services operation to a clinical reference laboratory to its current e-Healthcare information and connectivity provider status. Dr. Grodman presided over the continual growth of BRLI despite significant market downturns to the industry in the 1990's. While Dr. Grodman devotes nearly all of his time to his duties at BRLI, he is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Assistant Attending Physician at Presbyterian Hospital, New York City. From 1980 to 1983, Dr. Grodman attended the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and was a Primary Care Clinical Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital. From 1982 to 1984, he was a medical consultant to the Metal Trades Department of the AFL-CIO. Since 1984 Dr. Grodman has been a medical consultant with the Uniformed FireFighters Association of NYC. Dr. Grodman received a B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1973 and an M.D. degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1977. Cory P. Fishkin, President and Chief Operating Officer Cory Fishkin has been a part of the laboratory field for over twenty years, starting on the bench at major laboratories and migrating to major laboratory support service companies. He has spent more than ten years working specifically in the area of healthcare computerization where he was involved in product and service development. In 1995, he joined a start-up division of Reuters, whose goal was to connect the "healthcare universe." He was responsible for the development of the Laboratory application for ambulatory care as well as the development of a strategic plan to replace proprietary clinical systems. In 1997, he consulted for Abaton.com, a web-based clinical information system for ambulatory care, as a Product Manager responsible for the commercialization of the lab order entry / results reporting application as well as supporting the sales and marketing effort. When Abaton was acquired by McKesson HBOC in 1999, he joined the company as Product Manager. In 2001, when Abaton.com and iMcKesson were absorbed into other areas of McKesson, he consulted with hospitals and laboratories throughout the country evaluating IT products and programs for outreach. Cory took over as President and COO in February, 2002. Sam Singer, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, CAO, CFO, Director Sam Singer is a twenty-eight year financial executive with over thirteen year's SEC experience. He has been the CFO of BRLI since 1987 and has been involved in all phases of its public offerings, to include its secondary offering and all of its private placements. He was instrumental in securing the Company's fourteen million-dollar asset based line of credit with PNC Bank. Mr. Singer received a B.S. degree in 1971 from Strayer University in Data Processing with additional majors in accounting and economics and an M.B.A degree from Rutgers University in 1972. Mr. Singer is a private pilot and is on the boards of several non-profit organizations. Richard L. Faherty, BRLI Chief Information Officer (CIO) Richard Faherty is the Chief Information Officer and directs CareEvolve, the Company's eHealthcare connectivity portal solution. Mr. Faherty further directs information management for the Company's PSIMedica division. Prior to coming to BRLI in 1998, he was on special assignment at MetLife, directing a Y2K project. Mr. Faherty was Vice President, Director of Technical Services at S&P Comstock from 1992 to 1994 and Regional Director of A-T Financial Services, Inc., prior to his work at MetLife. At both S&P Comstock and A-T Financial, Mr. Faherty managed the support, maintenance and deployment of real-time data products utilized by traders, brokers, analysts and financial executives who require complex, high-speed data solutions delivered to their desktops over private and public networks. Mr. Faherty is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Fordham Law School. After practicing law for nearly ten years, he became involved in Information Technology in 1985 and has been involved with complex data management, networking solutions, and application and data distribution since that time. |
